I had some time on my hands yesterday and was motivated enough to already finish up the next comic strip, a second one for this week. I don’t know that I’ll be able to do two strips every week, but I will try to increase my output a little bit.

The new storyline is finally here! And it’s not a “Hipsters Vs. …” thing, either. I have a feeling this is gonna be my most ambitious storyline yet. It also might be the last one. There are only so many hipster jokes you can make, after all… But don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll be able to drag this out for a year or so.
The reason I took a little bit longer to get this started is that I was working on a few other things, such as the new JAZAM!, my Robert Crumb tribute, a new 24h comic, a book containing both of my 24h comics, and these pixel hipsters:
Hipster Band of the Week: Beaches
Finally, we have arrived at the end of ‘Hipsters Vs. Robots.’ Read the whole thing from the start RIGHT HERE. All the other storylines are available in the archive.
It’ll be a couple of weeks before I start with the next storyline, but in the meantime, there will be a couple of cool guest comics from some cartoonist friends of mine.
Hipster Band of the Week: The Sun and the Sea
Unfortunately, I had to take last week off, for a number of different reasons, among them a sprained ankle, a concert with my band Affection Play, and a last-minute invitation to join a “A Tribute to Robert Crumb” book & exhibition for the Munich Comicfestival. I already uploaded this little preview snippet from my contribution.
Another illustration of mine that was recently published is this cover for Demotapecomix‘ new “Schöne Töne” mixtape:
And here’s one last link, to a (German) podcast interview I did last week: Comichöhle 007
Hipster Band of the Week: Blind Freddy
(the unnessessary) German version
We’re rapidly approaching the end of ‘Hipsters Vs. Robots’ now – only two more installments to go! I’m already writing the next storyline, though, so there won’t be much of a break.
Read the whole thing from the beginning now: Start here!
Hipster Band of the Week: Bastille
You didn’t think I would do the big robot storyline without getting some Blade Runner quotes in there, did you? How many of you recognized the quotes before reading the last panel?
Hipster Band of the Week: Local Natives
Oh noes! Is this the end of Rob the Bro-Bot? Find out next week!
Until then, jump back to the beginning.

German version (once again, not really necessary)
A second comic for the week! And yet more action and carnage! One the one hand, I can’t wait to get back to more dialogue-heavy scenes, since those are much easier to draw. On the other hand, these action scenes are much more satisfying when they turn out well. But don’t worry, there’ll be a couple more of both before the robot storyline is over.
Again, a German version‘s not really necessary, but I made one anyway.
I just got up late after watching the Oscars all night and finished coloring this new action-laden comic right away. The Oscars were actually fun by the way! I mean, I don’t really give a shit about who wins (if it were up to me, The Cabin in the Woods would get ALL THE OSCARS), but Seth McFarlane was pretty funny and OMG CAPTAIN KIRK!!
A little webcomic recommendation: I’ve had Noelle Stevenson’s Nimona in my link list on the right for a while now, but in case you haven’t had a look at it, you should really check it out! It’s very funny and cute and super well drawn.
Hipster Band of the Week: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
A German version isn’t really necessary this time, but I made a blog post in the German section anyway.
Finally, some action!
Originally, this and monday’s strip were supposed to be one big double feature, but I was taking too long and didn’t want to delay the comic again, so I split it up into two strips. But since it was already almost done on sunday, I managed to get this one done today.
